Child Protection Fund

The ICMEC Australia Child Protection Fund provides grants and investments to data and technology-driven approaches that reduce and prevent sexual exploitation of children

The ICMEC Australia Child Protection Fund is a targeted funding initiative that aims to catalyse data, technology,  and preventative approaches to reduce and prevent child sexual exploitation (CSE).

Funding opportunities under the Child Protection Fund are carefully curated to respond to the needs and issues identified by stakeholders on the frontlines of responding to CSE, including around:

  1. Data acquisition
  2. Technological solutions
  3. Ecosystem strengthening

We adopt a ‘best practice funder’ approach and strive to create a genuine and collaborative environment for both applicants and successful grantees.

Our focus is on projects that are not commercially viable or funded by the mainstream market. We applaud and support these solutions, but we also acknowledge that they do not need our assistance as a priority.

The Child Protection Fund offers diverse funding types, including philanthropic grants and impact investing, complemented by non-monetary support such as technical advice and access to a network of experts in law enforcement and financial crime. To understand more, please contact our Head of Impact, Tiphanie Au at tau@icmec.org.au.
