At ICMEC Australia, we believe the best way to facilitate strong, collaborative relationships is to bring people together to connect and share expert insights and guidance to enhance the detection, reporting, prosecution, and prevention of child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSE).
We host a range of events designed to provide those who perform a critical role in fighting CSE with resources to help them with their invaluable work.
Who are these events for?
Delivered online, hybrid, or in-person, we cater to the whole CSE response community. Relevant institutions include:
- Financial service institutions (spanning financial crime, risk and compliance, governance, customer vulnerability, and corporate responsibility)
- Law enforcement agencies
- Child protection and safeguarding not-for-profits
- Government agencies
- Telecommunications sector
- Corporate organisations committed to making a positive impact
Our events
Virtual Monthly Brown Bags (MBB)
Virtual one-hour sessions held approximately once a month to provide a snapshot of key CSE topics, including recent industry research, emerging issues and threats, and findings from experts across various industries.
Watch recordings of past sessions here.
In-person events
Our in-person events vary throughout the year based on emerging topics. These events attract a range of cross-industry public and private organisations, providing an opportunity to share important information and establish strong connections that foster greater collaborative efforts to protect children from abuse and exploitation.
The ICMEC Australia Symposium
This annual one-day event invites key industry professionals from financial services, telecommunications, government agencies, law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, not-for-profits and broader corporate organisations to discuss important issues and barriers around reducing and preventing harm to children. Our Symposium is the only event of its kind across Australia, showcasing leaders in the industry discussing and workshopping solutions to protect children from harm.
