Who we are
ICMEC Australia is a team of highly motivated people who bring an array of skills and experience to the fight against child sexual exploitation. We are a subsidiary of the global ICMEC organisation, headquartered in Virginia, USA, which has been working to combat child sexual exploitation, abuse and trafficking since 1998. We operate as an independent not-for-profit organisation, building on the work of the Asia Pacific Financial Coalition Against Child Sexual Abuse.
In Australia our focus is on bolstering the detection, reporting and prosecution of child sexual exploitation that is facilitated online. Through collaboration between key stakeholders in the CSE space we help financial crimes teams, NGOs, corporates, regulators and law enforcement partners to find data and partnership solutions in the fight against this crime. Our ultimate outcome is supporting the removal and relief of children from harm.
Joining our team means being part of a positive, purpose-driven culture. We are outcomes-focused and determined to create an impact in the prevention of one of the world’s fastest-growing crimes. Our work covers a variety of areas, including:
- Relationship and stakeholder management
- Grants and impact investment
- Data science, analysis and product development
- Research and communications
- Project management
We are always interested in hearing from people who want to spend their time immersed in meaningful work. If you would like to work with us or are interested in pro bono or paid partnerships, please get in touch.
At ICMEC Australia, our core purpose is the protection and rescue of children from child sexual exploitation. Our values are central to this mission and motivate us to do impactful work.
