Join us in protecting children

ICMEC Australia strengthens the detection, disruption and prevention of child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA).

We are a not-for-profit that works with and for the professionals fighting CSEA across financial services, technology, law enforcement, and beyond.

No organisation can effectively fight CSEA alone and we need financial backing to keep going.

Your support is critical and we encourage you to get involved.

Scaling our impact

ICMEC Australia plays a unique role connecting the silos across the child protection ecosystem. We catalyse action that protects children, and we’re only just getting started.

The future

ICMEC Australia was funded in 2021 as part of Westpac’s Safer Children, Safer Communities program.

From our original mandate of supporting banks to combat CSEA, we have grown into a multi-faceted organisation that works closely with corporate industries, government, domestic and international law enforcement, academia and NGOs. Our impact is deep and our role is critical.

CSEA is increasing in scale and complexity, and our collective response will only be effective if we work together. That’s why ICMEC Australia will continue to grow, bring people to the table, and drive both collaboration and innovation.

FAQS

Is ICMEC Australia funded by ICMEC Global, government, or philanthropic donors?

We are governed, funded, and operate independently of ICMEC Global. We do not currently receive government funding and are broadly ineligible for traditional philanthropy because we serve corporate stakeholders and public agencies, rather than individuals directly impacted by CSEA. Funding from corporate industry, through memberships, projects, events, and donations is critical.

Who can join your Industry Alliance? Is there a prospectus?

What impact does ICMEC Australia have, and why is this unique?

We track and report our impact year-on-year; you can see our latest Impact Report here.
