Support ICMEC Australia

Join us in protecting children

ICMEC Australia is working to create a world where technology cannot be used to harm children by strengthening the systems and professionals responsible for detecting, disrupting and preventing child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA).

Our establishment was supported by Westpac’s Safer Children, Safer Communities initiative, which provided multi-year foundational funding to build our model and prove its impact. As this initial funding period concludes, ICMEC Australia is transitioning from establishment to long-term sustainability.

We are now seeking strategic corporate partners and philanthropic investors to help scale our national impact.

CSEA is increasing in scale and complexity. The response must evolve just as quickly.

FAQs

Is ICMEC Australia funded by the ICMEC, government, or philanthropic donors?

We are a proud affiliate of ICMEC Global, though are governed and operate as a wholly independent entity. Our start up funding was from Westpac, with that arrangement coming to a close. ICMEC Australia seeks and applies for government funding and grants as opportunities present. We do not currently receive government funding. Given ICMEC Australia’s direct beneficiaries are industry & government, there are also limited sources of philanthropic funds we are typically able to access, though small donations have been received previously.

Does ICMEC Australia have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status?

Yes, ICMEC Australia has DGR status and is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).

Is there flexibility on the sponsorship packages?

We are very happy to discuss your needs. For instance, we understand that some sponsors may have preferences around use of their logo in marketing, which we can work with you to manage. Please reach out to our corporate engagement team corporate@icmec.org.au

What impact does ICMEC Australia have, and why is this unique?

We track and report our impact year-on-year; you can see our latest Impact Report here. The impact we create is targeted and deep because of our strong industry focus. We receive consistent feedback that our training, working groups, webinars and events are high-quality and meet an industry need. The growth and seniority of participants and attendees is also testament to how highly they are regarded.
