June 17 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

As AI and emerging technologies increasingly shape children’s digital experiences, understanding how harm can arise - and how it can be prevented - have become essential.
In this June Brown Bag session, Nakshathra Suresh will offer a high-level overview of AI-facilitated and emerging technology harms affecting children, and what these risks mean for developers, organisations, and systems designers. Drawing on her experience bridging technology innovation with safety and ethics, Nakshathra will focus on safety-by-design approaches, exploring how protection, responsibility, and foresight can be embedded into technologies from the outset.
With a strong commitment to making digital spaces safer and more accessible for people with diverse abilities and levels of digital confidence, Nakshathra brings a practical, values-driven perspective to responsible technology development.
