Our Global Community

For 20 years, the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children has been a leader in identifying gaps in the global community’s ability to protect children from sexual abuse, exploitation and risk of going missing, and expertly assembling the people, resources, and tools needed to fill those gaps.

In Australia, ICMEC has been active since 2009 when the “Asia-Pacific Financial Coalition against Child Sexual Exploitation Australia Working Group” was established.

It is thanks to the success in building stakeholders’ interest around collaboration on data-driven initiatives that ICMEC Australia was launched in 2021, to deliver data collaborative initiatives and best practices that enhance the detection and investigation of crimes against children online.
